The Municipality of Pfäffikon ZH lies in the Zurich Oberland on Lake Pfäffikon. The municipal administration relies on Evoya AI as the AI platform for its employees: they get access to secure AI on a Swiss platform instead of working with private accounts in public AI tools.
To ensure that AI is actually used in day-to-day administrative work, Evoya AI supported the introduction with various workshops: from the basics and safe use to application in the everyday work of the municipality.

Starting point: AI yes, but secure and with a plan
AI has also arrived in municipal administrations, for example for drafting letters and notices or summarising documents. But anyone who uses private accounts in public AI tools for this hands over administrative data. For a municipality that works with the data of its residents, that is not an option.
The municipal administration of Pfäffikon ZH therefore wanted to give its employees shared, secure access to AI and at the same time enable them to use AI sensibly and responsibly.
The solution: a secure AI platform and workshops
Access to the Evoya platform: employees work on the Evoya platform with Evoya Chat. They can choose from over 30 AI models, including the Swiss model Apertus.
Introductory workshops: in various workshops, employees learn what AI can do, where its limits lie and how to work with it safely. They practise on tasks from everyday administrative work.
Typical uses in the administration: drafting letters, notices and replies to residents, summarising minutes and long documents, rendering texts in plain language or other languages. The AI delivers the draft; employees review and approve it.
Data protection: Swiss or European AI for the administration
All employees work on the same platform instead of with private accounts. Data is processed with Swiss or European AI, in line with the Swiss FADP and the GDPR, and never used for AI training. This way, the municipality keeps control over where its data is processed.
