AGI (Artificial General Intelligence)
Hypothetical AI that can handle any intellectual task as well as a human.
Definition
AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) refers to a hypothetical AI that can handle any intellectual task at least as well as a human – not just one specialized task, but all of them. AGI does not yet exist; whether and when it will be achieved is debated among experts. AGI is closely linked to the discussion about the singularity and is considered a long-term goal of some AI companies.
